An Introduction to Product Licenses.
A License to Suit Projects Big or Small.
Most customers require a commercial license when they use fonts or graphics in their own products intended for sale. These options describe the common types of license you’ll encounter, covering a variety of purposes. Choosing the right license for you will depend on your project’s scope and potential audience.
All products are available to purchase and download via my selling partners. Historical purchases made directly from this website can still be accessed via your account, with the original license terms and conditions in place.
Selling Partners.
When you click a link to buy you’ll be redirected to one of my selling partners, typically MyFonts for font products and Creative Market for graphics. All sellers have their own variables when it comes to license agreements, but you can use my descriptions below as an introduction to the terminology used. Please follow the guidelines set out by the relevant store and feel free to contact me with any questions or special requirements. Thank you.
Personal:
The best option when using an asset within a project not intended for sale. This could be a school project, private party, club or social media post. Explicitly not for commercial projects.
Commercial:
Allows for use within products for sale and broadcast. A good choice for startups or short-run projects. Can be repurchased when the audience or time frame exceeds the licence.
Extended Commercial:
Recommended for most customers. This covers larger commercial projects, extending to online, broadcast, apps and games. Can be repurchased when the audience or time-frame exceeds the license.
Studio & Corporate:
Use for multiple users within a project for print, online and broadcast. Recommended for use within an intellectual property, film and TV production, video-games, or other project where an asset may be shared across a studio or corporation.
General Terms & Conditions:

Common Font Terminology:
Desktop:
All licenses cover use within desktop apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) for creating/printing documents, images, etc. One license per project and user. Purchase additional licenses for each new project.
Webfont:
Commercial and Extended Commercial Licenses allow you to self-host the webfonts (WOFF) on a single website, for display in a web browser. Licenses are based on views of 25,000 or 250,000 respectively, and additional licenses can be purchased once this is exceeded.
ePub:
Allows you to embed the fonts into one (1) specific Electronic Publication title (like an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or PDF). This is an extension of the Commercial and Extended Commercial Licenses, not an additional file. An additional license is required for each new title.
Mobile App:
Allows you to embed the fonts into one (1) specific Mobile Application title (such as an iOS or Android Mobile App). This is an extension of the Commercial and Extended Commercial Licenses, not an additional file. An additional license is required for each new title/app.
